Students enter the program to further their understanding of literature, to strengthen their teaching qualifications, to broaden their writing experiences, or to prepare for doctoral work. The M.A. in English (TESOL) is a one-year program designed to foster the awareness, understanding, and skills necessasry for effective teaching of English to speakers of other languages.
