On Campus

Boston University offers an exciting, vigorous and challenging clinical training program in an urban hospital and medical school environment. Our curricula focuses on biopsychosocial aspects of mental health phenomena and emphasizes courses on counseling interventions with a complementary background in behavioral medicine and neuroscience. Over the course of 2 years students engage in 1,000 hours of clinical field training where they are trained to perform brief forms of assessment and psychotherapeutic interventions in individual, group, and family therapy. The program is designed to prepare students to provide clinical services in medical, community, and behavioral health care settings.
